Appeals, Examination and Expert Evidence

Landscape evidence that stands up to scrutiny, for applicants and local authorities.

What it is and when you need it

When landscape and visual effects are a reason for refusal, or a key issue at examination, the quality of the evidence matters. Inspectors and Examining Authorities want clear, consistent judgements that follow GLVIA3 and are honest about effects.

We prepare landscape evidence for planning appeals and inquiries, and act for both applicants and local planning authorities on Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects.

What we provide

  • Independent review of an existing LVIA, its method and conclusions

  • Proofs of evidence and written representations for appeals and inquiries

  • Local Impact Reports and landscape input to Statements of Common Ground

  • Responses to examination questions and cumulative effects work

  • Support at hearings and topic meetings

Why Terra Loci

  • Experience on both sides: supporting applicants and advising councils, including NSIP examination work.

  • Familiar with large energy and grid infrastructure, including solar, wind and transmission projects.

  • Evidence written with the inspector in mind: structured, proportionate and consistent.
